Let it Snow Card

This is one of my first attempts at using VersaMark. I used it for the background of the card and it turned out amazingly!! Acrylic stamps from Stamptivity Stamps were used to make this card. The stamp set featured is Cool Snowmen. The stamp used to make the snowman and the winter scene is one single stamp, I just stamped on blue paper and embossed with white embossing powder. The snowman was stamped on white cardstock with black pigment ink and then colored in with markers. To get the let it snow stamp to pop out in white, I restamped it and then embossed it with white embossing powder. Instructions are below.

Level: Intermediate
Time needed: 30 minutes

Supplies used:
half sheet of 8.5X11inch light blue cardstock
medium blue cardstock
white cardstock
Versamark watermark ink pad
cool snowman stamps
white embossing powder
heating gun
black pigment ink pad
Colored pens or markers

Instructions:
1.Cut light blue sheet of 8.5X11 inch card stock in half so that each piece measures 5.5X8.5. This is going to be your card. Fold in half.
2.Using versamark ink, stamp “Let it snow” repeatedly over the entire cover of the card in rows. Make sure that all the words can be clearly seen in one place close to the bottom of the card (the clear section of words will be embossed later)
3.While the card is drying, use the snowy house scene stamp with the versamark ink to stamp an image on the medium blue cardstock. Emboss the image with white embossing powder and heating gun.
4.Stamp just the snowman portion of the same stamp onto white cardstock.
5.Color in the snowman’s as desired.
6.Cut out the embossed image and the snowman image. Attach the colored snowman over the embossed snowman image so that the embossed snowman is completely covered. Attach the image to the card being sure to avoid covering up the clear phrase mentioned earlier.
7.Make sure the cover of the card is completely dry before proceeding to this step. Using versamark and the white embossing powder, restamp over the clear phrase and emboss with the heating gun.
