Stamped Candle for Xmas

This candle was decorated using a Stamptivity stamp called Father Christmas with Holly2. I stamped the image in black dye ink and then chalked in the subtle colors. Then I cut out the image and Mod Podged it onto the candle. PLEASE NOTE!!! Mod Podge is not safe for a flame and the stamp is stamped on PAPER so do not light your candle if you intend to decorate it like this!!! I just made it as a Christmas decor, not to be lit, but to be kept for many years to come. Instructions are below.

Time Needed: 30 minutes

Supplies Needed:
Father Christmas with Holly 2 stamp
Blending chalks
Mod Podge or other paper sealer
Foam Brush
Cutting Tool
Black Ink Pad
White cardstock

SPECIAL NOTE: Mod Podge and other sealers are NOT safe to be close to a lit candle. These candles are intended for decorations only and should not be lit.

1.Stamp the Father Christmas stamp on white cardstock using black ink.
2.Color in the stamped image with blending chalks.
3.Cut out around the stamped image.
4.Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the back side of the cut out image. Let the paper set for a minute so the sealer will bond well to the paper.
5.Attach the paper to the candle making sure to smooth the paper down completely. This can be done with a brayer, bone folder edge, or credit card egde.
6.Once there are no air bubbles, apply a thin coat over the stamped image to seal it.
