Merry Christmas, Mom

frame4
I made these stamped framed images for my mom’s Christmas present this year. They match her kitchen exactly. I bought cheap frames and covered them in Distress Crackle paint. I love how they turned out. The grapes and leaves are from the SU Blossoms Abound stamp set. I had to buy a stamp-a-majig in order to make the images align perfectly. I never knew what the stamp-a-majig was for the longest time and now I am so happy I ordered it this month. I LOVE IT!! Everyone needs one! I will post about the goodness of the stamp-a-majig later.

I really like how these frames turned out. I used a watercolor technique using acrylic paints to paint the background on the canvas paper. I use to be an acrylic painter (when I was in 3rd through 10th grade), so I have lots of my supplies left.

The crackle paint is just too neat. I will write a post about it eventually 🙂

  1. Doncha just love the stamp-a-majig! And this gift is so beautiful. Love the painted frames and the soft background behind the grapes. It all ties in so beautifully!
