Mon Ame Memories Sketch

EDIT: I MADE BOTH OF THE CARDS SHOWN BELOW. I guess my description or title might be misleading to some, because the first card is NOT the sketch, it is my design too. :O)

These cards were both made with the same Mon Ame Memories Card Sketch. I went ahead and posted them to show my dear friend Alison because I was telling her about them on the phone :O)

One is a Valentine’s card and one is my first graduation card!!

The card above was made using the SU A Rose is a Rose stamp set. The rose and leaf are both made with stamps!! I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to layer the 2 step stamping images. I love it. The light pink layer of the rose with Ranger Crackle Paint. Then I stamped the darker layer of the flower with regular Classic ink so the rose looks crackled and distressed. The alpha stamps are from KI Memories and were on clearance at Target last week.

The white strip of cardstock was punched with the Martha Stewart heart lace border punch. The lighter pink cardstock is embossed with my new SU exclusive SizzixTexture plate!! I absolutely am in love with texture plates! Texture plates are made by Sizzix and come 3 plates to a pack. BUT each plate is double sided so you get 6 embossed patterns to a pack! I purchased both of the packs from the new Spring 09 catalog and I have been dieing to use them. Anyway, the texture I used above is called Small Dots and it is part of the SU Exclusive backgrounds set. I will write more about the texture plates later. . . on to card #2!

I attend UTK and our colors are white and orange so I used those colors for my card :O)

The black paper was punched in each corner with the SU Ticket Corner Punch. I have been seeing cards using this punch everywhere and so I finally got it. The SU Great Grads set was used for the stamp inside the scallop circle punch. The monogram S was made with another clearance find at Target. This alphabet set is from Autumn Leaves. And of course, the scallops were made with my fave punch, the SU Scallop Edge Punch.

  1. Gorgeous cards! I love that Valentine- what a beautiful job on the flower! The border punch is so pretty too. I just used my polka dot background last night! Don’t ya love that?!
