Confessions of a Paper Ho

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won’t get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don’t have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

NO I DIDN’T BUY ANY PAPER!! LOL I know that is what you were thinking! I have been a good paper ho in my paper ho challenge. I haven’t purchased any paper so I am doing a great job on the challenge. If you are a paper ho, join the paper ho challenge with me! Make 100 projects before you buy any more paper! Sounds hard, but you can do it :O)

MY confession is. . . I didn’t even know what patterned papers I DID have already! LOL I went perusing through my patterned paper over the weekend while organizing and had a blast finding a bunch of patterned paper that I love :O)

Anyway, the point of my post today is PAPER STORAGE!

How do you store all your 12X12 papers? Well I store mine upright in containers I made out of Priority Mail box containers. These are the medium sized box that just says “Mailing Box” on it. NOT the flat rate medium box (those are slightly less wide so they don’t hold the 12X12 papers as good, they are kinda squished).

Please note: Only used recycled boxes because you aren’t supposed to use new boxes for anything but mailing!

I have finally covered the top shelf of paper storage containers!! I had the priority mail boxes cut so I could use them, but they had been undecorated for months LOL. Here is the after photo:

I used K & Company paper to cover these puppies! I love how bright they are!

Here is the whole paper shelf! Horrible I know! I have lots of paper. The bottom level is just chipboard and some scrapbook kits.

Here is my 8.5X11 Stampin’ UP cardstock. The containers I use for 8.5X11 storage are from Staples. Staples sells cardboard magazine files. They are like $6 for a pack of 2 of these. I covered the front of them with cardstock and then labled them by Stampin’ UP color family.

Next is some patterned paper 12X12. These are the same priority mail boxes, I just used different paper to cover them. These have bookplate labels cut using the Cricut Fabulous Finds cartridge. I will be labeling the new boxes I made above, I just haven’t gotten there yet, LOL.
Now I also SORT my patterned papers and cardstock. My dear fiance showed me these awesome tabs at Staples one day and I was hooked! I am sorry I don’t have a better photo, but you can kindof see the tabs there. These tabs are with the 3ring binder tabs at Staples. These ones can be stuck wherever you need them though!!!!!!!!!!I love these tabs because I can easily look and find what I am looking for!! (Yes, I know office supplies make me excited LOL) They are super neat because you can print on them so what I did was typed up all my tabs and then went to town labeling everything!

I hope you enjoy my paper storage ideas :O) I will be back later today with this week’s SP Color combo.

  1. I love you paper storage ideas! It sure saves on buying paper storage containers!

I especially love the tab dividers idea! My only question: What did you put the tabs on? I’d hate to waste a piece of 12×12 paper by putting a tab on it!

  2. I love your paper storage ideas! Thanks for this, it sure beats buying paper storage containers.

I love the divider tabs idea, but my only question is: What did you stick them to? I’d hate to waste any 12×12 paper by putting a tab on it!

  3. I have to confess I fell off the paper wagon! But I picked myself up along with my new pack of Sassafrass paper:) and am back on the waogn. Starting my count over. At 3 projects. 97 more to go.

  4. AWESOME! I love your recycling job – love to see all your paper and love your ideas. TFS! 🙂
How did you cut the priority boxes and at what height did you cut them?

  5. Great job recycling! I don’t get enough of these boxes myself to reuse however I love the idea as this is what I want for storage! TFS! BeeCherryLady

  6. I’m a bad paper ho. I bought lots of pp in the last month. It’s the one supply I can buy in little amounts when I have an extra couple dollars. (Guess I could be saving these extra dollars for a bigger item, eh?) Great organization!
