Want a chance to win this lovely wedding digi stamp from Whimsy Stamps???? Then head on over to SPCC and play along with this week’s color combo and you will be entered to win!!!

I wanted to keep this card all black and white and so I had to think about how I wanted to make the wedding image pop.

I am totally new to the world of digi stamps. The concept is totally neat, print the images in whatever size you need, the edges are perfect every time, then you just color them in! We have an inkjet printer and a laserjet printer and I actually used the laserjet to print these out because I was worried the inkjet ink might run when I was trying to color the images. With the laserjet printer, I had no issues with smudging.

To color in the image I used a few new products (at least new to me):

  • Shimmerz: Shimmerz and Shimmerz DT coordinator Danielle Wycough are both upcoming sponsors at SPCC so I have some Shimmerz to test out!! Can I saw WOW!!!!!!!! I used the Shimmers Blingz for the bride’s sleeves and veil and this just added soooo much shimmery goodness to the card. It was so easy to use, simply stir up the paint and then apply with a paintbrush.
  • Copic Spica Glitter Pen: iCopic is also an upcoming sponsor at SPCC and I received a huge package from them earlier this week! On the Bride, I outlined parts of her dress with a Silver Spica glitter pen.

I also used a Black Bic MarkIt marker for the hair, Black Stickles for the Groom’s buttons/cuffs, Platinum Stickles for the Brides earring, and Stardust Stickles for the Brides dress and the wedding cake.

The Whisper White background cardstock was embossed with a Stampin’ UP Texturz Plate and my Big Shot.
