Hey everyone! I am so sorry for posting this so late! I had the best of intentions, but between my neurology appointment and migraines today. . . you know how it goes!
This week, we have a very lovely host. . . Carrie!!! When I asked Carrie to be a Finally Friday host for us, I was so glad she accepted because she is such a talented and kind woman. I haev enjoyed getting to know her a little bit through SPCC. Carrie has created an awesome challenge this week and I hope you will play along! Let’s meet her now:
I have been scrapbooking in some form since childhood. (Remember those “albums” with the sticky pages and the clear cellophane sheet that peeled back so you could slap your stuff down on the page? I have lots of ruined photos and newspaper clippings now). Now the focus of my scrapbooking is my kids, and I have just recently become more involved in blog participation. I’ve never been more inspired in my creative process than I have been in the last year or so. I’ve met some wonderful people from all over the world on these blogs and communities, and I’ve come to the conclusion that scrapbookers are just the nicest, most supportive people you’ll ever meet.
I also love cardmaking (another hobby I’ve had since childhood), and through blogging I’ve been able to join Cards for Heroes so that I can send some of my creations to our troops so they can write home. It has been a great way to give back a little and to show my support.
I enjoy other crafts too, such as cross stitch, wreath making, and making hair bows for my daughter. (You can check out some of my projects on my paper crafts blog – www.carriescustomcrafts09.blogspot.com).
Carrie’s Finally Friday Challenge: I know that most of you probably have other hobbies too – photography, painting, jewelry making, quilting, crochet – you name it. I want you to show me your other hobby by incorporating it into your paper craft item, be it a card, layout, or altered item. Here are two of mine to get you started:
a piece of tear away cross stitch fabric on top of the cardstock and
stitched directly onto the cardstock.
Add a direct link to your project into Mr. Linky below.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A FINALLY FRIDAY HOST???? Well you could be next! Simply play along with our weekly SPCC challenges and our Finally Friday challenges and I might just ask you to be a host!! I have been asking some of our most active participants so keep playing along. Show us your stuff!
