- See the little boy holding the heart? Well on the stamp, there is actually a “Thank you” written inside the heart, but I left it off of my stamped image! This is the Omitting technique. This is where the SU markers really come in handy. What you do is use your marker and only color the part of your stamp that you want to show up on your paper. So in this case, I colored on my stamp everywhere except on the Thank You words. When you are done coloring on your stamp with the markers, breathe onto the stamp to moisten the ink back up right before you stamp onto paper.
- The little boy stamp is from the Stampin’ UP Very Thankful stamp set. I colored him in with a combo of Stampin’ UP Markers and Copics (Thank you iCopic.com!!).
- The title and hearts are from a sticker pack that my buddy Danielle sent to me (THANK YOU, D!!) These stickers have tiny glass beads on them so they show up shiny and have some texture as well. Very neat!!
- The background paper is Bermuda Bay cardstock. I used a Texturz plate and my Big Shot to make the background.
We are going to the lake for a picnic this afternoon, but sometime later tonight, I will reveal this week’s Stamp Set celebration. This stamp set coming up is one of my personal faves and many of my gals have been ordering it so I think you will like to see it :O)
