Trick or Treat Card

Halloween isn’t really all that big around here. I am currently living in the Bible Belt and it seems most people do NOT celebrate Halloween around here. When I was living in Colorado, Halloween was HUGE. . . parties, dressing up at school, major trick or treating. . . here, we are lucky if we get ONE SINGLE trick or treater each year. It is a major bummer because I think Halloween rocks!

Anyway, despite the lack of Halloween spirit in my town, I decided to purchase a Halloween stamp set anyway! Here is your SNEAK PEEK! This stamp set is called Twick or Tweet. This set is so adorable, and what made me purchase this set was the cute little doggie on one of the stamps :O)

  • For the swirly background, I used the Shaving Cream Background Technique. I totally love this technique!!!
  • The cardstock is Stampin’ UP Rich Razzleberry and Kiwi Kiss
  • YES I did color those pumpkins in!!! I thought they looked FAB! I will be sharing my awesome coloring technique with you soon :O)
  • To attach the In Color ribbon, I punched a hole with the Stampin’ UP Horizontal Slot punch and then tied the ribbon to it.

  1. Sam, I absolutely LOVE this card. You more than anyone make me wish I had lots of extra money to buy lots of new products. There are so many adorable new SU! sets and papers and inks I want. And, I know I keep saying it but I WILL try that shaving cream technique. You do such a great job on it! And your marker techniques are improving by leaps & bounds rapidly. Those pumpkins are AWESOME!

I’m with you on Halloween. I LOVE IT!! Even in the Phoenix area I’ve noticed in the last few years not as many kids trick-or-treating. I just love decorating for Halloween. And my daughter’s bday is Nov. 1 so every year we have a costume party for her bday. So much fun!

  2. I love the set (got a catalog sneak peek a week or so ago)… I’m SO tempted to get it but the last thing I need is another Halloween set! Still… 🙂

  3. This card is so cute! One of these days I’ll try that shaving cream technique! Oh, and you are so mean teasing us with these fun sneak peaks!
