Each Saturday, I hope to have a Stampin’ With Sami (SWS) workshop for you -in the form of a tutorial with step-by-step photos. It will either be a fancy technique (like today) or a cool new way to use a product. The purpose of me bringing your these workshops is to hopefully convince you to become one of my lovely customers :O)
In today’s SWS Workshop, I am going to share with you an easy as pie way to make those little candies in the Sweet Treat Cups accessible to the person who receives your card.
These Sweet Treat Cups and the Sweet Centers stamp set are now available through the new Holiday Mini Catalog!
First, the card:
- Ornament hanger part is a stamp from the Stampin’ UP Sweet Centers stamp set. I stamped it with Craft Basic Black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.
- The ornament hook stamp works perfectly with the Sweet Treat Cups. I am thinking it would be great with circles of patterned paper too!
- Sentiment is from the Stampin’ UP Snow Swirled stamp set. I stamped it with the same ink and then embossed it like the ornament hook. Then I punched it out with the Stampin UP oval punch and layered it with the Stampin UP scallop oval punch.
Now here is my lovely tip. Before attaching your Sweet Treat Cup to your card, cut an X just under your Sweet Treat Cup is going to be placed. In the photo below, I am only showing the back of my card front. When I make the base of the card, I plan on cutting a hole with a Movers & Shapers (they will be on my next months order!) so that only the X part is showing.
