Hello everyone! I am WAY behind and I have SO MUCH I want to share with you!! Let me tell you why I am so behind. Lots of great things are happening right now and it is great, but also time consuming.
Well first off, our awesome local crop was on Saturday! We had such a blast!!!! We cropped our little hearts out and ate great snacks. I always look forward to crop night every month! It is so much fun.
THEN, my aunt came to town. She actually got here during the crop and she will be here all week, but we’ve been busy visiting and having a bunch of fun spending time together. It has taken away significantly from my stampy time however.
AND LASTLY, my dear fiance’s birthday is TOMORROW!!! I am so excited and I really want to make it special for him, but that meant that I spent THE ENTIRE DAY baking a cake and doing my last minute prep for his birthday celebrations (well after my classes, and I had a quiz today, eek!!). Let me tell you about this glorious cake. It is 4, yes, FOUR layers of chocolate cake, made from scratch AND with chocolate fudge frosting also homemade. It is beautiful, and looks delicious and I can’t WAIT to dig in!! He is going to love it!! I will have photos tomorrow :O)
Anyway, here is my card from yesterday’s Stampin’ With Sami Lesson on Build A Brads. I wanted to put the card details separately because. . . this card is a TRIPLE WHAMMY this week!!!
It was for my SWS Lesson, PLUS, it is for Christmas Color Combo #8 (shown below), PLUS it is for my Stamp Set of the Week!!! For the rest of the week, you will see other projects using this Stampin’ UP The More the Merrier stamp set.
Remember, if you use my Christmas Combo for your Christmas or Winter Holiday project, add your project to Mr. Linky below. You might just be featured on my blog!!! And you will get my special “I was Featured” button for your blog. :O) To see my other Christmas Combos, click here!
- The card base is Whisper White cardstock that is embossed using one of the Stampin’ UP Texturz Plates using the SU Big Shot machine.
- The large snowflake was cut out of Bermuda Bay cardstock using the Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge. I did some sponging on the snowflake with a Stampin’ UP sponge dauber using Whisper White Craft ink to give the snowflake a slight faded look.
- The snowman inside the build a brad and the sentiment are both from the Stampin’ UP The More the Merrier stamp set. This is a hostess stamp set. To position the sentiment, I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Brocade Blue cardstock.
- The snowman was colored in using my Stampin’ UP markers to match my Christmas Combo #8.
