This giveaway will end at 9AM EST on Jan 10th. Be sure to check back tomorrow at 9AM EST for another chance to win. Remember, we are going to celebrate ALL WEEK LONG!! All my winners will be posted at the end of the week long celebration!!

Now let’s get on to the tutorial for today:

Today, I want to teach you how to layer two stamps together to make your own “background” if you will. . . I thought of this because I am loving playing with the new Stampin’ UP Dot Dot Dot polka dots stamp. I have so many ideas for how to use this awesome stamp.

This same technique could be applied with various shaped stamps and various background images.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • I Heart Hearts stamp set (the solid bold stamp)
  • Dot Dot Dot stamp (single stamp)
  • Melon Mambo Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • Close to Cocoa Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • Whisper White Cardstock
  • Hobby Blade

1. Stamp the solid heart from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set on Whisper White cardstock using the Melon Mambo ink.

2. Stamp over the heart using the Dot Dot Dot stamp with Close to Cocoa ink. Be sure to get the heart centered underneath the background before you stamp so that your heart image is completely covered in polka dots.

3. Trim around you heart with a hobby blade.

4. Add your finished image to your project. My project is shown below:
Full card details will be posted later today :O)
