Sunflower Seed Card

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. My mom and I did a little shopping today. We went to get some fabric (more details on this to come) for some upcoming projects I have planned. Then we went and FINALLY got the 4th Twilight Book, Breaking Dawn. I have been dieing to read it ever since I finished the third book, but just never went to pick it up. So now, I have to work on getting ahead on my class readings so I can squeeze in time for Twilight! YAY. HA HA HA

So this project is actually my project I had planned for yesterday, but I HAD to tell you about Crafty Storage blog so I delayed this project for today. This card was designed as part of my Something Sweet week!

Overnight tonight, I am going to get a video uploaded on how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig so you can see it in action. The Stamp-a-ma-jig is a MUST HAVE tool for stampers and I am so surprised how many people don’t know about this awesome tool. It will change your stamping life completely!!

So here is my cute little sunflower card for ya :O) Remember, it is Sale-a-bration right now so for every $50 you spend with Stampin’ UP, you get a free SAB item!!

  • All the stamps I used for this card are from the Stampin’ UP Something Sweet stamp set. This stamp set is designed to coordinate with the Sweet Treat Cups. For this card, I filled the cup with sunflower seeds.
  • For the flower I used Crushed Curry Classic ink for the flower petals and Old Olive Classic ink for the little leaves. The stalk of the flower is a strip of Garden Green cardstock.
  • To make the grass I just cut a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock down to size and then used my scissors to cut the little blades of grass.
  • The background of the card is Bashful Blue cardstock and the border is YoYo Yellow cardstock.

Sign up for updates via email & never miss a project!
