Hello everyone!!

I have been busy getting together some birthday decorations and gifts for my mom’s 50th birthday coming up on Monday.

We have already been celebrating. Around here, we jokingly refer to the “Birthday Month” because we try to make sure to celebrate big and make birthdays very special. During the Birthday Month, we always make sure to do all the favorite things that the birthday boy or girl wants to do. AND it is birthday tradition to go out to eat at the Japanese Steakhouse called Kanpai of Tokyo so we went there tonight! Oh it is the best!!

For today’s project, I have a birthday banner for you. I used this banner for today’s segment over at Just Buggin

For the pendants, I used the Cricut Mother’s Day cartridge and cut them out using Old Olive cardstock.

See all those cute little Polka dots??? Well they are from the new Perfect Polka Dots Stampin’ UP Textured Impressions Folder for the Big Shot. I AM LOVING THIS FOLDER. I know everyone has gone gaga over the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, but I will do you ONE BETTER!! The Stampin’ UP Perfect Polka Dots folder makes polkadots on A FULL CARD 4.25X5.5!!!! I was so excited when I got it in the mail and noticed that it is a full sized greeting card worth of polka dots!

Here is a close up:
I made the Old Olive cardstock a little distressed using Close to Cocoa classic ink on a Sponge Dauber.

The letters were cut out of Pale Plum cardstock using the Cricut Storybook cartridge. The bows were tied with Whsiper White Taffeta ribbon.
