Simple Birthday Cards

Happy Thursday everyone!!

Today we had a rough start around here. I went to bed early last night because my head was hurting, and I wake up to find out Skyeler has pneumonia!!!! My mom took her to the vet early this morning. Skyeler (she’s the black and white husky in the sidebar photo) has been sick with allergies for pretty much forever and every time we take her in to the vet (which is pretty often) they just tell us it is allergies. So I totally expected them to just tell us the same thing again! Now my poor little baby is actually sick so I have to baby her more than usual.

Anyway, enough dog talk. Let’s talk about birthdays!!!

These are some very simple and elegant birthday cards I made using the Stampin’ UP Vintage Labels stamp set, for Vintage Labels week! This stamp set is only available through the end of the month for Sale-a-bration, so be sure to get your hands on one!

The neat thing about this set is that the sentiments are separate from the labels so that you can interchange what sentiment you want to use AND you can use different color inks very easily!! I love this effect!

For both of my cards, I used Chocolate Chip ink for the label, Kraft cardstock for the card base, and the Corner Rounder Punch for the edges of the cardstock.

This first card has a sentiment that was stamped with Melon Mambo ink.

For the second card, I used Bermuda Bay ink for the sentiment:
