Happy Saturday everyone!!! I have an AWESOME technique to share with you today. I am going to be working on getting my tutorial posted right after this post, but I couldn’t wait to share my layout because I really liked how it turned out.

This layout was inspired by the Cricut Straight from the Nest cartridge. I just got this cartridge in two days ago and finally got some time to play with it last night. There are these cool borders and pendant shapes on it that I wanted to use on my layout.

But the best part of this layout is my painting technique!! Click here to learn how to make your own Stampin’ UP paint colors!!

The I mixed the paint to make Melon Mambo paint!! Isn’t that neat!!!???  In the photo it doesn’t show the paint color as exactly matching but in real life, it is almost a perfect match to the cardstock.

On the edges of the pendant shapes and the scallops, I used the Stampin’ UP White Gel Pen to make polka dots to match the Melon Mambo ribbon I used as a border.

The title was cut using the Cricut Songbird cartridge.

  1. Samantha, I love this layout. At first glance, it is a simple LO. However, when you look closer, there is a lot happening. It is subtle, but amazing! I love it!
