Hello and Happy Weekend to you!

I decided to take a momentary break from the Cricut 3 Birds on Parade cartridge and post the layout I made tonight. This is a layout that was inspired by a challenge over on the Cricut Circle message board.

My favorite thing about this layout is, well, my little Emma, who is so darn cute!! But what I was going to say is my favorite thing (besides Emma) is those adorable letter banners! Aren’t those the coolest thing! They were cut from the Cricut Country Life cartridge (at 2.25inches). I used the Stampin’ UP Linen Thread to attach all of the little banner parts and drape them across my layout.

All of my patterned paper is from the Stampin’ UP Sweet Slumber designer series paper pack (retired). I will have paper kits of this in the SP Store shortly (I will be adding items to the store tomorrow). The only other paper I used on this layout is Peach Parfait cardstock.

The leaves were all cut from the Cricut A Child’s Year cartridge at 1.25inches (for the ones on the border) and 1inch (for the one at the top).

The border was made from the Cricut Cake Basics cartridge (cut at 2inches, there are 3 separate pieces lined up across the bottom of the page).

I used a sponge dauber and some Soft Suede ink to distress the edges of the border and the banner.
