I hope you are having a lovely weekend thus far. I had a lovely Saturday, and Sunday is looking up as well. Yesterday I found myself in deep contemplation mode. I go through moods sometimes, and yesterday was brain-storming day. I came up with quite a few new stamp design ideas and got a number of cards made. And I even managed to get some new items added to the SP and Company store.
Very soon I am going to be sending in my second release of stamp designs to the manufacturer for approval and I am really proud of them. I have some finalizing to do on some of the sets, but I think you are really going to love them. You ain’t seen nothin’ yet, folks!! I am just getting started with my designs :O)
Today’s card features the SP and Company Flourishee Stamp Set and the Ultimate Sentiments I Stamp Set. I just love how these Ultimate Sentiments can just make their way onto any card, like they did today.
My card for today uses the Cricut Winter Frolic cartridge again (and my card for tomorrow uses it too! I told ya, this is my new fave cart!).
Now isn’t that mouse just the most polite little mouse!? I love that he is giving a present to someone. LOL he even wrapped it and everything! HA My mom saw my card and said, “now that is just WRONG” and laughed at it. I thought the little mouse was such a cutie pie!
SAMI’s TIP OF THE DAY: Making eyes. . . It is super easy to make eyes on smaller animals like this. Simply color the eye in with a Copic Multiliner from iCopic (I used the .3MM Multiliner SP which is one of the refillable ones). Once the black part is dry, add a tiny dot of white with a white gel pen (Stampin’ UP’s white gel pen is my favorite one by far and I have tried a bunch of them).
The mouse was cut at 3 inches. The marquee shape behind him is also from the Cricut Winter Frolic cartridge and I cut it at 4 inches. It does have a hole in the top of it, but I just covered up the hole with the mouse’s head. I had actually planned on tying some ribbon into the hole, but the mouse was big so it made it easy to hide the hole.
The background patterned paper was made with the Flourishee Stamp Set (I used Taken with Teal Classic ink on Taken with Teal cardstock, which is a retired color from Stampin’ UP).
The patterned paper I used for the scarf and wrapping is from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses 6X6 Paper Pad available in the SP and Company Store. This is one of my favorite older paper lines (I am not sure if it is from last year, or the year before that, but I know it has been around for quite a while, oldie but a goodie!!)
