It’s been a while since I have looked at the SP Blog stats and WOW we are almost at a quarter of a million visitors! That number is just so big it boggles my mind!! I just want to take a moment to say thank you for being so awesome!! I love reading your comments and y’all really motivate me to keep being crafty.
There is still time to enter the giveaways from last week, so make sure to enter those by scrolling down. I will start announcing winners on Monday.
Also PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: If you live in an area where the time changes, don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour :O) Don’t you love getting that extra hour??
Today, I have our Christmas Card for Day 4. I used such a simple but AWESOME technique on this card and I really wish I had video taped it, but I didn’t! LOL
For my card, I used the candy canes and sentiment from the Christmas Emma Stamp set. I love the candy canes in this set so I wanted to feature them on a card.
So you know how candy canes are shiny? Well these ones are too!! I used Crystal Effects (made by Stampin’ UP) to cover the candy canes so they would look shiny like the real thing!
I used my Copics to color in the candy canes: R27 and R29. The neat thing about Crystal Effects is, even though it is a liquid, it doesn’t make your image smear! The lines and the marker ink stays clean and crisp ( I have tried other brands of the same type of thing, and my images would always smear.
And this shape was made using the Cricut Imagine machine! It is a stock shape that is stored inside the machine so no cartridge was needed! Cool huh?
The patterned paper is from the Dear Lizzy Christmas line from American Crafts.
