Hope you’ve had a great evening. We had a great time taking Johnny’s parents to our favorite restaurant for the first time. They absolutely loved it and I have a feeling, we will all be going back there when they come to town again.
Here is the actual card for today, which is Day 9. Earlier today, I posted my card that was supposed to be for Day 8 of the SP 50 Days of Christmas here: 50 Days of Christmas: Day 8. You can view all of the SP 50 Days of Christmas Projects by clicking on the 50 Days of Christmas button in the sidebar on the right.
So for today’s card, I did something totally new to me. . . I EMBOSSED with my Cricut machine!! How, you ask?? Well, with the Amy Chomas Creations embossing tip, or course!! This was my first time using the embossing hit and I did not do multi-cut (which is what Amy Chomas recommends) but I still liked the look on the front side. It gave an debossed (indented) look, which I thought was pretty neat!
I used the Cricut Winter Frolic cartridge, which is one I have been waiting to get for sooooo long!! I love this cartridge!!!
I definitely am going to have to play with it more and try various things, but I really wanted to show you what I could make straight out of the package so you can tell that it is EASY! I definitely have LOTS of ideas running through my head.
The greeting on this card is from the SP and Company Ultimate Sentiments I Stamp Set. Let me tell you, this might be the best sentiment set EVER and is great for any crafter’s arsenal because this set is filled with sentiments for many occasions and those just because moments. I created it because I wanted a set of the best sentiments out there that everyone could use. And the font is fancy, but not TOO fancy for your everyday cards. I love this stamp set and I am sure you will too. I hope you will give it a try and let me know what you think.
I added some adhesive rhinestones from Pebbles, Inc. and some retired Stampin’ UP pretty in pink striped ribbon to finish off the card.
