Day 12: You Color My World Layout

 Hey everyone!!

REMINDER: You can leave a comment on each post this week for even more chances to win the lovely giveaway prize, complete details are here.

I hope you all are having a wonderful day. I have a layout for you today that I think you will really like! It is simple and bright. I love to make simple things with a certain “wow” or “pop” factor to them. I think this one is no exception. Scrapbooking and card making should be EASY so I try to keep my projects that way for the most part.

On my layout, the title is everything. I used a lot of white space to balance the pop of color that the larger letters give. I used one of my favorite fun fonts on here. This font is from the Cricut Robotz cartridge.

This is a layout I made about my new husband! I am so glad to finally be married to my man!

Layout details:

  • The title was made with the Cricut Robotz cartridge. The small black letters were cut out at 1inch in lowercase letters. The larger letters were cut out at 2.75inches tall in uppercase letters and I cut out a shadow for the larger letters too.
  • The following Stampin’ UP cardstock colors were used: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange (retired), and Green Galore (retired).
  • For the larger letters I stamped a heart background from the SP and Company Hearty Hearts Backgrounds stamp set. I designed each of the heart background stamps so that each pattern can be repeated over an area ANY size so it doesn’t matter how big of an area you want to cover, you can do it with these stamps!! I used matching Stampin’ UP Classic inks on each letter so that I got a two toned pattern.
  • I arranged the COLOR letters and the photo a little crooked to draw attention to them.

Tomorrow, I will be back earlier with a new project for ya. See you soon!

  1. I hadn’t thought about stamping a paper with a background stamp. It looks real good. Once you have your ceremony, will be real interested to see what you do for your weddig album.
