Day 2: Valentine Gift Box #1

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of my Cricut Project 365!

REMINDER: You can leave a comment on each post this week for even more chances to win the lovely giveaway prize, complete details are here.

I am so glad that some of you are just as excited as I am about this Cricut crafty journey! If you choose to play along (even if you alter the rules for yourself), I would love to hear from you!

My Project 365 rules are simple:

  • Create one project every day using the Cricut, be it a scrapbook layout, card, 3d item, or gift. Anything goes as long as the Cricut is used in some way.

Now let’s looks at the project for day 2. For today, I made a cute little Valentine themed note card set and gift box. When I was sharing this project with a friend, they asked if I would have kits available because she loved this project so much and wanted to do it herself. Well, I thought that was a great idea so YES, there is a kit! Details for the kit are at the end of this post.

Here is a look inside the box:

Here is a close up of the cards:

The stamps on these cards were designed by me! These are part of the SP and Company Mini Card Creations II Stamp Set.

The hearts were cut from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. I used one of the layers of the candy hearts.

And here is the finished gift. The box was made from the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge (which is now a retired cartridge, but still absolutely fabulous!!).

I finished off the box with a big fancy bow. Do you want to know my secret for tying the perfect bow? Well you are in luck because I have a video tutorial, click here to view it now

Additional project details:

  • Cardstock is Pretty in Pink from Stampin’ UP.
  • Inks are also from Stampin’ UP: Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise classic ink.
  • Patterned paper is from Echo Park.
  • The pink ribbon is retired from Stampin’ UP and the turquoise ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink.

BONUS PROJECT: Head on over to my regular blog (click here) for an additional card I made using the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge!

I am offering a very limited amount of kits.
Kits include the cardstock, ribbons, patterned paper, stampin’ dimensionals, SP and Company stamp set, and complete detailed directions on how to complete your projects.
There are enough supplies to make 3 complete gift boxes, each with 5 note cards.
Please note: you will need your own ink, adhesives, and Cricut supplies (a machine and the two cartridges Tags Bags Boxes and More, and Simply Charmed**), but the note cards will come pre-cut and scored.
Kit cost: $20 + shipping ($4.80 for USA, $13 for international)

**You can substitute another cart that has a heart shape for Simply Charmed.

Well that’s it for today! See you tomorrow for Day 3 of the Cricut journey.

  1. I love it! It is similar to the Christmas gift I made for my Mom, except hers had a variety of cards like birthday, get well and thinking of you cards. I made my box by hand as I didn’t realize my Bags, Tags Cricut cartridge would make that size/shape box. What size is the box you used?

  2. I am loving your 365 days of Cricut projects and that your will be doing a wide variety of projects. I love your Valentines project and will be showing this to my daughter for one of her SU workshop projects.
