Minnie Mouse Part 1

Hi Cricut friends!

Alright, it is time to get back to the challenge at hand. . . to use my Cricut each day for 2011. I took quite a break, but I am glad to finally be back in action here.

My project for the next few days is a bedroom makeover for a little girl who LOVES Minnie Mouse. I made a bunch of cuts to put in her room and she loved it! I am her babysitter, and couldn’t be happier spending time with this little sweetie. When we decorated her room in Minnie Mouse, she screamed “Minnie, Minnie” and giggled.

Here is what I did with her door.

The Minnie Mouse and all the layers were cut at 10.75inches tall using the Mickey and Friends cartridge. Remember, when doing something with layers, keep your REAL SIZE DIAL button OFF, then all your layer cuts will be proportional to your largest layer (the end result was an 10.75inch Minnie Mouse with all the cuts matching up!)

I used the following cardstock colors from Stampin’ UP: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Blush Blossom (retired), Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, and Lovely Lilac (retired).

Under the Minnie Mouse, I wrote out the name of the little girl (covered up for privacy reasons) using the Mickey Font cartridge.  These letters were actually the inside cuts from some Mickey head letters I used on one of her walls (I will show them to you another day).

I will be back tomorrow to show you one of the walls 🙂
