Hello friends! Sorry for being MIA today. I took it easy and curled up on the couch most of the day. I am totally sleep deprived due to feeling icky. I meant to get this posted earlier, but oh well. Hopefully, I will back to my normal crazy self in the next few days. Thanks for hanging in there with me!
This is one of the many layouts I have made that I will share with you over the next few weeks. I created an album for my grandmother and she finally has it so I can share with you 🙂 I have been trying to keep these layouts a secret until she actually got the album in her hands.
Aren’t these photos of her just gorgeous! I love older photos!!
This layout was made for the Use it Tuesday challenge this week. The challenge is to USE some ribbon you have been hoarding. Well, to tell you the truth, I have TONS of ribbon and so I just picked some and went with it.
The background cardstock is Real Red textured cardstock.
I added some faux stitching with the SP and Company Stitchery Doo stamp set. There is a stitched corner on one of the photos and then a stitched corner in the bottom left of the page.
This stamp set is one of my most loved sets because to tell you the truth, I HATE having to stitch something and these stamps give the same great effect with a fraction of the work. LOVE IT!!
I sprayed the cardstock background with some Sheer Shimmer Spritz I got from iCopic.com. There are many colors of this available in the iCopic store, and I used the Frost color on this layout.
ABOUT Sheer Shimmer Spritz: There are a lot of glitter sprays out there, and I have tried three different brands so far. I really happen to like this one over the other two I have tried because it doesn’t have to be shaken nearly as much as the other two I have tried. Now, the bottle still says “shake well”, but just looking at the bottle, I can’t tell that anything has settled to the bottom like other sprays I have tried. That is a major plus for me because I don’t like having to wait for everything to mix up, I am quite impatient. It also seems to spray out really well.
My title was made out of American Crafts Thickers (these ones are Glitter Chipboard from the Dear Lizzy collection) and Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type alphabet stickers.
Since it is past midnight here, I guess I will be back later today for Design Team Wednesday!!
