Hello folks! Welcome to Day 3 of the Meet the DT Blog Hop. Make sure to check out Day 1 and Day 2 while you are here because there is still time to enter to win the prizes from those days. For Day 3, you are in for some more lovely treats!
The blog hop rules are simple, just “hop” on down the list of blogs listed each day and check out what each designer has to share with you. Make sure that you are a follower here on the SP Blog and leave a comment ON EVERY BLOG POST in the hop because there are secret hidden prizes along the way! Some designers have offered their own prizes PLUS I will be selecting random comments from all the blogs and having special prizes from each day. International readers are eligible to win too, I will ship anywhere.
One Round Sentiments I stamp set
My project for today features the brand new SP and Company stamp set called Round Sentiments I and patterned papers from the April SP Monthly Subscription Club Kit. Did you know I offer three different monthly subscriptions? Well make sure to check them out because they are stellar and are deeply discounted!
Over the last two days, I shared cards made using the Round Sentiments I stamp set, and today, I want to share a layout with you, also using this stamp set. When creating this stamp set, I thought that some of the sentiments would make great accents on scrapbook layouts. You may not know this about me, but I was a scrapbooker before I was a card maker. Scrapbooking is my first paper-crafty love and I still scrapbook A LOT!
The sentiment “Oh Happy Day!” really captured the feelings of the photos on this layout. I could see it being used as an accent piece like this on many a happy layout. I cut out a 1.25inch circle, stamped it, then put a button in the center, sponge dauber-ed the edges, and the popped it off the page with a Stampin’ Dimensional (foam dot). Such a cute and easy embellishment!!
See all those hearts in the background? Those are also stamped from the Round Sentiments I stamp set! They are such a great little touch to the background.
For my journaling tag, I decided to make lines using the SP and Company Scallops and Lines stamp set. I think this might be my most used stamp set because I can create lines on anything with this set! I just love being able to make my own cute journaling shapes with the help of this line stamp!!
Here is a close up photo of the watermelon slice. I did some faux stitching around the edges of the watermelon slice and the journaling shape using my Signo White Gel Pen. The slice, the word “watermelon” and the journaling tag were all cut out using the Cricut Expression and the Preserves cartridge
