This month’s color is Purple! Join us the 7th through the 10th as we share purple projects using brand new SP and Company stamps that will be released on the 10th. Not only does the Design Team get to play with this color, but YOU do too! After you’re done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month’s purple challenge (details are at the top of this blog) for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes! And don’t forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog each day to be eligible for the prizes!!
One of my favorite things about the new Sewing Chic stamp set stamp set is the dress forms! This card showcases the smaller dress form and a cute sentiment from this new stamp set! This set will be shipping out TOMORROW so make sure to pick yours up!
- I did a really neat technique with the dress form’s image. First, I stamped the images in pink and purple inks. Next, I painted over them with Rock Candy Crackle Paint from iCopic.com. It takes a while to dry, but when it was dry, I inked over it with some light brown ink to give it a little bit of a weathered look. Then I was left with this neat cracked glass type effect over the stamped images!!
- The purple patterned paper is from the Springtime 6X6inch Paper Pad.
- I used the following Stampin’ UP Cardstocks: Crumb Cake (Kraft), Pretty in Pink, and Pink Passion (retired).
- The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.
