Winter Wishes Gorjuss Card

Hello there!  Happy FRIDAY!! Wahoo! How are you kicking off the weekend? I will be celebrating by finishing up some fun behind the scenes work so I can have a nice relaxing weekend. So much to do, so little time. . . PSSSST. . .

Did you see the DESIGN TEAM CALL?!?!?  Hurry, go apply!! 🙂

Today, I want to show you an adorable Christmas project that was featured on the iCopic blog today.

Here it is:

Card Details:

  • The main image is from Gorjuss and it is called Winter Friend. This is one of my favorite Gorjuss stamps EVER and I can tell I am going to be using this one a lot this season. I had my heart set on getting this stamp as soon as I saw it. It is ADORABLE!!!!
  • I colored in the image using the following Copics from
    • For the polar bear’s fur: E40 and E41
    • For the girl’s skin: E000, E00, and E01 (for her cheeks)
    • For the girl’s hair: E35, E37, E79, and E29
    • For the clothing & the bow on polar bear: YG11, YG13, YG15, and YG17
  • I popped up the image using some 3D Glue Dots® to give it some dimension.
  • The snow mounds and sentiment are both stamps from the SP and Company Falling Snow Stamp Set. This is one of my favorite sets because of these snow mounds. They are just perfect for any winter card.
  • The snow mounds and sentiment were both stamped onto this pretty patterned paper from the Season’s Greetings Paper Pad from Echo Park.
  • I punched out the sentiment using the Modern Label punch from Stampin’ UP, but I was close to the edge of the patterned paper, so the top didn’t punch out correctly. Well, I loved the smooth edge it gave so I used it anyway and just lined it up with the background patterned paper. I think it added a cute little shape to the sentiment part.
  • I also inked around the sentiment using Crumb Cake ink from Stampin’ UP and applied the ink with a sponge dauber.
  • The card base was made with Blushing Bride cardstock from Stampin’ UP.
  • The background patterned paper is from Basic Grey’s Eskimo Kisses collection and is called Village.
  • The girl image and snow mounds were all trimmed out with an Xacto blade. I don’t know what I would do without this thing!

And here is a close-up shot at the Gorjuss girl:
