Art Kure Wintery Greetings Card + A Valentine Card

Hi everyone! This post is a two parter 🙂

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It is my day over at the Crafter’s Companion Blog and I am bringing you another sneaky peek of upcoming CC Stamps, this time from Art Kure.  I just made a winter time card, without a sentiment. It could be used for just sending a handwritten note to a loved one. One of the great things about card making is, you don’t have to make cards only for special occasions, you can make them just to say “Hello”.

My take-away message for today is, you don’t always NEED that sentiment on your greeting cards. That is especially true with these lovely Art-Kure stamps.  This one is called Castle Cook.

These gorgeous Art-Kure images remind me of those gorgeous landscape paintings.

I just colored in the image using alcohol markers & inked up around the edges of the scallop shape with chocolate colored ink. I inked up the edges of the patterned paper also.

Then I added some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

My finished card measures 3.5 X6inches.
Here is a Strawberry Kisses creation I created for the CC challenge:

I used this cute little doggie image from the Strawberry Kisses line and colored him in with my CC Markers, called Spectrum Noir. These markers are alcohol markers similar to Copics.

The sentiment was created with alphas from the Echo Park Yours Truly collection (the patterned paper is from the collection too).

Whew! Two cards in one post. . .That is a rare thing for me. Enjoy 🙂

It’s Kelli’s Day over at the SP Stamps Blog so stop by and see the what she’s been shaking up (pun intended, you will have to see what I mean, LOL).

  1. Your cards are both gorgeous! I love the village scene. You are so right to not put anything else to distract from it. Beautiful!
Your puppy looks like he knows all about sweets! Such a cute idea!
    Thanks for sharing! 🙂
