Kanji Desk Organizer Project

Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday!! Today is my hubby’s first, last day of class! OK, the first day of his last semester of classes! He’s almost done with grad school and I am super excited for him and for us! Thankfully his grad school is covered, but I am sure you can imagine, being in graduate school doesn’t pay the big bucks 😉 I am just happy that he is almost finished and we can soon move into the “adult” part of life, is there such a thing?! Anyway, so it is back to regular schedules, and some early mornings for us. Yay!

Are you ready for today’s project? It is a little bit different, and I couldn’t be more excited to be sharing it with y’all!

Wednesday is my day to post over on the Crafter’s Companion Blog so I’ve got a cute little desk organizer project to share with you, using one of the soon-to-be-released Kanji stamps from Crafter’s Companion. I created this little organizer with the help of the Ultimate Crafter’s Companion tool, The Ultimate Advanced Construction Techniques DVD, and The Boxer board.

I can’t even tell you how EASY this was to create! The DVD literally walks you through each project step-by-step, giving you the exact dimension and score lines.

To tell you the truth, my hubby actually watched it with me (well, in the same room, but doing something else) and he was just getting a kick out of how much fun I was having. I ended up creating 2 of the 3D projects on the video & I want to at least do a couple more of them this week. My wheels are really spinning, and I think I can even come up with some unique treat boxes and things all on my own. Well, with the help of the Ultimate Crafter’s Companion tool. This thing is so neat it makes me giggle!! I will have to make some videos to share it. I don’t know what I have done without this thing in my crafty life. . .

I thought this little organizer would be perfect with this Kanji fan stamp:

In the front, you could put business cards, or little note paper so you can easily jot down little notes. This would make a cute little gift, or you could just make one for yourself 🙂

In the back, there is a space for a block of post-it notes.

Here is a close up of that lovely fan stamped image. I colored it with some grey alcohol markers and then some glitter pens to make it all sparkly.

That’s all I’ve got for you today!! I am working on lots of behind the scenes goodness today. Hope your day is a great one!

It’s Bonnie’s day over at the SP Stamps Blog! She’s made a beautiful decor piece that you won’t want to miss!
