Benjamin Bunny Birthday Card

Hi everyone! It is my day on the Crafter’s Companion blog and so I am sharing a Beatrix Potter project with you today.

The stamp set I used on my project is called  The Tale of Benjamin Bunny stamp set. The bunny was just so cute munching on some lettuce. The sentiment is also from this stamp set.

I made a neutral dainty looking card. I roughed up all the edges to give my card a shabby chic feel.  I used an edge distresser tool, but you could get the same effect by running the blade of your Xacto knife over the edges of your paper.

I colored my image with very light colors so that it went with the style of my card. I wanted everything to be soft.

To finish off my card, I added an antique brad next to the sentiment.

That’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

And I have decided after much consideration, that I will be leaving the Crafter’s Companion design team at the end of the month. I have been very busy as of late with my design team duties and my business & time is limited. I’ve had to make some adjustments. I am sad to be leaving their team, but something had to give way.  I will be making one more post for them and then I will be off of their team officially.

  1. Your card is so sweet! I love the distressing with the black and white and greys. The little brad is a perfect embellishment!
I am sure they will all be sad to not have you on the DT for Crafter’s Companion but you know what is right for you.
Thanks for sharing all your great ideas! 🙂

  2. So happy that your SP Company is growing but I am sure it is very hard to step down off from a design team but I am sure you will be glad for this tough decision down the road!!!
