Go Team Card

I’m making TWO posts today. I want to share two of my TGF projects, but I didn’t want them in the same post. I don’t really like doing posts with more than one project. Be sure to scroll up to see the second one 🙂

Today my projects are both using the adorable Sitting Casual stamp set from The Greeting Farm. I just love this little guy sitting in his cute chair!

I wanted to make a card with this cute little “Go Team” banner, and so I used orange and white for our favorite team, UT VOLS! Woot!

I did a couple of fun little tricks on this card:

  • To make the banner, I used a piece of twine! I just used a tiny bit of liquid glue on both ends of the twine to attach it to my project.
  • And I colored the patterned paper chair!! Notice the same patterned paper in the background of the card? Yep, it is the exact same patterned paper that I used for the chair. The difference is, I just colored the chair orange with some Copics! I thought the pattern was great on a little chair, but I wanted it to go with the team colors.

Here is a close up of my coloring:

Ordinarily, I would go back in with my colorless blender or a white gel pen to make the catch-lights from his eyes white, but I forgot! LOL  Taking photos is actually quite a chore while I am away from home so I didn’t want to have to go through it all again. Just imagine them white 🙂

Here is the list of Copic colors I used:

  • Skin: E0000, E000, E00
  • Orange for the chair, shoes and shirt: YR12, YR14, YR18
  • Hair: E37, E39, E29
  • Pants: C00, C0

Some other supplies used:

  • Patterned paper is all from the Echo Park This & That Charming collection kit, which was part of the February SP Monthly Kit.
  • Label Die is from Spellbinders
  • Orange cardstock is from Stampin’ UP
  • Twine is from The Twinery

For this card, I also used the{TGFSC5} TGF Saturday Sketch #5.
