Hi everyone! Welcome to the SP and Company April Stamp Release Party!!
As you know, I’ve done a pretty crazy thing to start my own business in the middle of our US economic situation. I think I have done pretty well considering the state of our economy, but I have unfortunately had to scale back my business spending, like many companies out there. I am a small, one person operation. I had to make the very difficult decision to scale back the design team to a very small team. I consider each of my designers a true friend and it was one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make as a business owner, but it had to be done. I will truly miss the designers who are leaving the team, but I am also hopeful that the rest of the designers will do an amazing job keeping you inspired with SP Stamps. To Lori, Bonnie, Britt, Jen, Patchi, Patty, Stephanie, Susan, Tamie, and Tella. . . you will be missed more than you will ever know. I have absolutely loved working with these fantastic designers! I hope that everyone will continue to visit these wonderful ladies at their blogs because they are truly talented.
So now let’s move onto the fun part of the day. . .

My project today features the new Father’s Day Mini stamp set. This set is perfect for the men in your life! The trendy ties can be used alone or in combination with the top hat and mustache. This set also contains a great big Happy Father’s Day sentiment that follows right along with our other gorgeous Bold Sentiments designs.
I used these trendy ties from the Father’s Day Mini stamp set to create a pattern across my card. They ended up looking so great!! I alternated the colors and patterns the whole way across the card front. The bold striped tie was stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink from Stampin’ UP, then I used Copic V15 to color in the rest of the stripes. The line image tie was stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink from Stampin’ UP and colored in with Copic BG53. The lime tie was stamped in Lucky Limeade ink from Stampin’ UP.
For the sentiment section, I trimmed out a strip of lines from a patterned paper in the Echo Park Note to Self Collection kit, which was part of the March SP Monthly Kit. I attached it to my card and then stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry (I attached it to the card first because the Y at the end hung off of the strip and I wanted the end part to be on the card base so the sentiment would look normal and not funky! LOL).
The card base is Aqua Mist cardstock from Papertrey Ink
