Dog at Play Layout

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! Got any good plans for the weekend?  I plan to do a bit of shopping and also work on a few projects. Nothing too exciting around here.

Today I’ve got another scrapbook layout for you, using the April SP Monthly Kit. This is one of my favorite kits in a while because it is just so bright and fun. Check out all the details and benefits of being in the SP Monthly Club, click here!

This is a layout of my little Emma. Can you find her among all her stuffed animals?

She’s the black thing near the bottom right of the photo! LOL And yes, many of her stuffed animals are as big (or bigger) than she is. Every night I put all her toys into a basket and every day she takes them out and spreads them over the house, usually in a pile like this. Does your dog do that?  I think it is totally adorable, but I am a little bias since she is my baby 🙂

Here’s the full layout:

Layout Details:

  • The patterned papers, sticker elements (the title, the cloud, the sun, the “happy” banner, the green scallop, and the “this is the life” tab) are all from the Hello Summer Collection Kit, which was in the April SP Monthly Kit.
  • The cute little blue banner was made using a stamp from the SP and Company Stitchery Doo Banners stamp set, which was also part of this month’s kit. I just stamped the little pendant onto the blue patterned paper and then trimmed them out with my Xacto.
  • The background is a piece of kraft textured cardstock. I stamped it with some faux stitching using the SP and Company Stitchery Doo stamp set using some vanilla colored ink. This set is a PERFECT coordinating stamp set for the Stitchery Doo Banners set. I {heart} faux stitching!!
  • I added a decorative brad from Stampin’ UP (it is a new In Color brad in the Pool Party color, Designer Printed Brads #122940) to the title tag.
  • To the little happy banner, I added a Brights button from Stampin’ UP (#119747)
  • I outlined a couple of the elements with my Black Copic Multiliner & also did my journaling with it.
  •  This layout was inspired by a layout I saw on Creative Scrappers, made by Nicole Nowosad for Sketch 203. I am entering this layout into that challenge. This site is one of my newest favorite scrap challenges. Their inspiration is over the top good!

Here are a couple more close-ups:

Well folks, that’s all for today! I will see you back here tomorrow for some TGF projects. See you soon!
