Fancy Friday

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

I would like to call this one the rock star background. It reminds me of rock stars because it is all dark and metallic with a pop of a trendy color 🙂

PSSSST! We’ve got a super giveaway going on over on the SP Facebook page! Stop by for a chance to win!!

1. Cut out the One Two Three stamp coordinated number 5. Stamp die cut with the number 5 stamp from the One Two Three stamp set using teal ink. If you do not have an electronic die cutter that accepts SVG files, then you can simply stamp the 5 onto white cardstock and trim it out by hand.

2. Stamp sentiment from the Bold Sentiments I stamp set onto a strip of teal cardstock using teal ink for a tone on tone look.

3. Emboss the number 5 stamp across the entire surface of your card front, using Teal Metallic Zing, VersaMark, scrap paper, heating tool, and powder tray.  I chose to stamp two 5’s at a time using the VersaMark and then cover them with powder, heat, and repeat. I didn’t want the ink to dry so working in sections like that helped ensure good coverage with the embossing powder.

Here is the background once it is all stamped and embossed with the 5 stamp:

5. Cut the teal strip with the sentiment on it, into a banner shape and attach it to the card front with the stamped number 5.

And here is a look at the finished card:

This card would be perfect for a little rock star in your life 🙂 You could swap out the number depending on the age of the child.

Tomorrow, I am going to share a few new design team projects that I made for The Greeting Farm. I will have a couple of posts so you will have lots of eye candy to look at.  Have a great Friday!
