Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!! I hope your day has been lovely thus far. My day has been really fun. I have worked on a few projects and got some chores done around the house.
Now I have a new card to share with you. This one was pretty simple to put together after I colored my image. Coloring images is always the most time consuming part of my projects it seems.
The main image on my card is a stamp from Whiff of Joy, called Enjoying Spring. I loved the Spring-iness of the image so I decided to use some Spring feeling colors, namely bright yellow and aqua. Oh, how I love anything aqua or teal!!
If you will look really closely at the card base, you may be able to spot the Musical Butterfly Single Stamp image stamped repeatedly across it! I used VersaMark to stamp the Musical Butterfly stamp so the effect is very subtle. My photos came out a little bit grainy so it is more difficult to see it.
I used the following Copics from iCopic.com:
- For the mouse: E21, E25, E27, E29
- For the flowers and butterfly: Y15, Y17, Y18, Y19
- For the greenery: YG93, YG97
The sentiment I used is from the SP and Company Mini Card Creations I stamp set. I thought it went really well with this cute little happy image.
The ribbon, matching cardstock, and ink are Baja Breeze from Stampin’ UP. The yellow cardstock is Summer Sun also from Stampin’ UP (now retired, and I think the ribbon is retired now too).
This card would be great for a cheer up card for a loved one.
Here is a closer look at my coloring:
And here is another view of the full card. In this one, I think you can see the butterfly image in the background a little better:
I am taking over the SP Stamps Blog tomorrow so I will be back with a new project then. See you soon!!
