Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!! Last week, I introduced a new thing here called Share Something Saturday, where I encouraged you to share your latest crafty creation with me & the rest of the SP readers. Well, I want to go ahead and do that again!! I want you to link up one of your recent projects (the linky is at the very bottom of this post, after my project and shopping list) so I can see what you have been up to lately! You need to link up a NEW project (not older than 1 week) and please only ONE entry per person. Make sure you let people know about our new Share Something Saturday so they can play along too. The more sharing the better! I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations!
My card for today is actually from this week’s Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm blog.
There is also a great sketch for the TGF Saturday Sketch Challenge so be sure to play along with that as well. Being sick this week, I just ran out of time to play along with it this week.
So the FFF Challenge I played along with is a Photo Inspiration. I used the colors from the photo and also included some stripes because there were some bold patterns in the photo. Here’s my card:
I used the adorable Princess #4 for my card. I colored her with my Copics and then added some metallic Silver accents (for the crown and I also added earrings). The best metallic I have found is the Elmer’s Painters. They are paint pens and I have rediscovered them from my stash when we recently moved 🙂 You can see how metallic and wonderful the accents look in the next photo:
For the card, I used some grey card stock from Stampin’ UP (the lighter gray is their Basic Gray color) and Papertrey Ink (the dark gray I used for the card base is Smoky Shadow).
The doily patterned paper is from My Mind’s Eye’s Love Me paper pad. The grey striped paper is from My Mind’s Eye Follow Your Heart Be Happy paper pad.
To add an accent, I used some pleated satin ribbon from Stampin’ UP.
And finally, the sentiment is made of sticker alphas and part of a sentiment stamp. The “happy” was made from the tiny alphas from the Echo Park Sweet Day Collection kit, which was included in the May SP Monthly Kit. The “For You” is part of a sentiment stamp from the SP and Company Mini Card Creations I stamp set. The full stamp says “Thankful For You”, but I just inked up part of the stamp to get the “For You” part!
Well, folks, that’s all I’ve got for you tonight! I am about to do some more scrapping tonight & I will have a project to share with you tomorrow. Have a great evening!
