Frugal Friday #3 – Handmade Sewn Flowers

Hi everyone! Happy FRIDAY!! Let me start by telling you. . . I have been having such a wonderful time with these Frugal Friday videos. I have just loved getting super creative. It is so freeing to get away from that latest & greatest frenzy & dig deep to come up with something amazing.

Oh, and before I forget, it is Get to Know the DT Week over at the MarkerPop Blog so head over there when you are done & get to know us better 😉  I revealed my other passion!

Again this week, I am pushing my creative limits. This week is all about hand sewn flowers. I know, I know! It is pretty crazy, BUT I think you are going to love it because they really are so easy! It didn’t take me very long at all to get some of these made. The savings (ya know, compared to buying all those super expensive flowers), is just bind boggling.

I spent 87 cents on a piece of fabric, and then another dollar for two sections of tulle and I bought enough fabric to make tons of flowers!! And I am sure most of you already have some fabrics laying around that you could make your flowers from (maybe an old shirt that you like the fabric, some scraps from some other fabric project, etc).

In this episode, I show a few different flowers from start to finish and I ran out of time to make projects.

Next week’s Frugal Friday is already in the works and it is going to be really good as well! It’s going to be glittery. I love me some bling 😉
