Thank You Cards

Hi everyone!  Today I have some cute little thank you cards to share!

These would be great for giving out after a special even, or they could work as a gift set to give to someone else. It seems like thank you cards are always needed.

What’s great about this set is that these are only one layer. That means they are super easy to mass produce for a big event. And by the stamping technique, each and every card comes out just a little bit different so they are truly unique even though they are mass produced. I did a simple masking technique so I am going to walk you through the step of making these cards. Let’s get started!

I only made 4 cards, but you can make as many as you need. Start by cutting out the card bases. These measure 4X8inches. Score them in the center & leave them flat for the stamping part. We’ll fold them at the end. I just used two sheets of different yellow cardstocks I had in my stash.

I then stamped the fronts with the square shape from the Mini Card Creations II stamp set. I used a variety of Pink and Red inks for this part.  Then I used black ink to stamp the Thanks a Bunch sentiment, also from Mini Card Creations II.

Next, I took one of the cards and makes off the bottom and side edges around the frame shape.  I used post it notes for this part. I just had the sticky part of the post it note lined up with the frame.

Next, I inked up one of the poppy stamps from the Poppy Field Summer stamp set. I did a two toned technique by inking up the edges with a darker color.  I stamped the same poppy stamp two different times inside the frame shape. As you can see, the post it notes protect the rest of the card when I was stamping.

Remove the post it notes and fold the card on the score mark. Then repeat on the next card until you have enough cards!

To make each card a little different to show you some variation. I used a variety of pink, orange, and red inks for  my two toned flowers. I also used two of the poppy flowers to add even more variety.  As you can see, you can take this basic concept/process and make all the cards very different looking. It really makes the possibilities endless.
