Speedy Recovery Card

Hi everyone! Happy Labor Day!

Today I have a sweet little sympathy card to share. I made this card for the challenge over at the MarkerPop blog. This is MarkerPop Color Challenge #6. Please click here to play along! We are giving away some Whiff of Joy goodness for this challenge.

The MarkerPop challenge was to color yellow, so I decided to make her dress yellow. I concentrated a lot on the pleating on the dress. This adorable little image is from Whiff of Joy & it is called Sharing in your Sorrow.

I used patterned paper from the For the Record 2 Documented collection, which was part of the August SP Monthly Kit. I cut out the yellow ruffle layer with the Petals Spellbinders Edgeablities.

The sentiment was made with some stamps from the SP and Company Mix ‘n Match stamp set. This is actually 3 separate stamps that I mixed together: “Wishing you a” + “Speedy” + “Recovery”.

To finish off the card, I tied a big yellow bow with some satin ribbon from Stampin’ UP.

Here is a closer look at my coloring:

Don’t ya just LOVE that cement?! I will share how I did it in an upcoming video over on my Sami’s Copic Coloring Channel 🙂
