Hi everyone! I am way late posting this one (should have been posted Friday), but I am playing some catch up due to the doggie health scare. I am going to work on catching up with the Copic Christmas, but that might be all you will get out of me for the rest of the year 😉
I posted an announcement at the top of the blog to let you know what is going on. I will continue to keep you guys updated as anything happens with my pup. Since she is pretty much her usual self, there really isn’t much to do with her except pet her when she wants lol. Mostly she just likes to sleep beside me wherever I am in the house. She gets pretty irritated when I walk around a lot and work on chores, which just means I have to slow down & pet her a lot. Yep, SPOILED! LOL I often pet her with one hand and type with the other.
Since little Emma pup is quite needy already, I have pretty much mastered the type with 1 hand trick 😉
I decided rather than coloring up the sky part of the image, I would just cut around the image & use a snowflake patterned paper for that part.
I used the following Copic colors for this one:
- For the snow: BG0000
- For the elephants: B91, B93, B95
- For the ears & nails: C0, C1
- For the red hat: R22, R24, R27, R29
- For the green hat: G03, G05, G09
Expert Tip #5: Bling it Up!
Add some flair to your Copic coloring with BLING! Glitter, Rhinestones, Enamel Dots, Pearls, Brads, Crystals, whatever you want. These items add a cute little decorative accent to what would be a very flat piece on your card. I blinged up the little Santa hats with some glitter glue (Diamond Stickles)
I created the “rope” lines for the banners using the #20 Chocolate Spica Glitter Pen.
The little banner flags were cut out using the ACTUAL size banner shapes that coordinate with the Tiny Build a Banner stamp set. The SVG file for these tiny banners is available in the SP Store now. I use Sure Cuts A Lot to cut out SVG files, but you can use pretty much any die cutting computer software out there for SGV files.
I used the letters from the Tiny Build a Banner stamp set to make the words. The & is from the new Hello, World! Baby Announcement Builder stamp set.
The patterned paper I used for this card is from the Winter Wishes collection kit from Echo Park & this kit was part of the October SP Monthly Kit.
Over the weekend, I hope to get caught up with my 25 Days of Copic Christmas. I have almost all the projects done already for this week, but we shall see!
Have a great day!!
