25 Days of Copic Christmas Day 14

Hi everyone!

For my card today, I used a nice wintery color combo.

My main image is a precious stamped image from Wild Rose Studio!! How cute are these little guys!? I just love them! This stamp is called “Polar Bears”.

I used the following Copic colors:
For the fur: E41, E42
For the sky: W0, W1, BG0000
For the scarf: YG23, YG25, YG07

For the polar bears, I wanted them to be mostly white so I just added the color around the areas that would be shaded. I did short brush strokes and left everything streaky so that it looked like fur.

For the sky, I just created a halo effect around the bears. I first used the W’s and then went over it with the BG0000 so that I got a foggy blue color.

The patterned paper was my starting off point for this one. I decided to go with a brown, teal, and green color combo for this one. It is a little different for a Christmas card, but I really like how it turned out! I think it gives this card a more masculine feel, but truth be told, I LOVE these colors myself 😉

Anyway, so this patterned paper is from the Winter Fun collection from Carta Bella. It is premium textured cardstock weight patterned paper and I just absolutely adore this line of paper. I may need to order more just for my own use. This is one I want to totally hoard!!

I added a big bow using the following layers: Green Chevron twill ribbon + Stampin’ UP Turquoise button + Flax colored twine from The Twinery.

My sentiment & little snowflake stamp are both from the SP and Company Falling Snow stamp set. I just adore everything about this stamp set. It was one of the first stamp sets I designed so it holds a special place in my heart.

I just think it is a classic set that you can use again and again. I always fear purchasing a stamp set that falls out of style super quickly & then I am left using it like 2 years later and looking like someone wearing 80’s clothes now! He he. The stamp trends just move so quickly. I feel good to know that a lot of my stamps can hold up to the test of time.

For the sentiment strip, I used Stampin’ UP Soft Suede cardstock & stamped it with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

I really hope you like it.  Have a great day!
