Hello everyone! I know I have totally failed you guys on the blogging front lately, and I am working to make it much better!
NEW BLOG HELPER!!
I have some GREAT NEWS!! I am finally going to be able to come back to the blogging world 🙂 I have been majorly pressed for crafty and blogging time so I finally decided to find a blog helper! She’s going to help me with the editing & tweaking that goes into having decent blog posts. I am still going to be making all of the projects myself. I am still going to be writing everything up myself. You will still get your dose of Sami in case you worry about that part. 😉
Anyway, so you can expect to see me back in full swing very soon thanks entirely to her wonderful help! I actually have about 15 completed projects and half-finished blog posts. I have still been crafting because that is my ME TIME. She’s going to help me to get those ready and posted starting this week!
NEW BLOG SCHEDULE
With everything going on, I simply cannot keep up with my previous blogging schedule! So what I plan to do is start sticking to a minimum bloggy schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. I just want to concentrate on having 4 great projects a week for you! Once my blog helper and I get into a good flow, I may up the blog posts and get back to my ideal schedule, but we shall see!!
Sounds good, huh? Well, with all that said, I have a new project for you today!!
I would like to keep Scrapbook Saturday. These photos were taken of me a long time ago. Hubby likes to pretend that he’s a paparazzi and just snaps photos at me randomly. There are lots of pictures of me mid sentence or making silly faces back at him.
Who is usually the picture taker in your family?
I am usually the picture taker for events and holidays, but Johnny ends up taking a ton of photos of mostly just me making silly faces! lol!
For my project, I used elements and patterned papers from the February SP Kit, which included the Sweet Girl collection kit.
The rainbow patterned paper is cut at 9inches square. Then I cut a layer of vanilla cardstock at 9.25inches square. I roughed the edges of these two layers with an edge distresser tool.
I added a strip of pink chevron twill ribbon and wound it around so that it looked all loopy. Then I attached my photos around the ribbon.
I added some sticker elements, did a little journaling, and added my sentiment. It was all pretty simple, but I really liked how it turned out.
All in all, this layout took maybe 20 minutes. The monthly kits are just ideal for making easy layouts all the way up to frilly and fancy layouts.
If you have been considering joining the club, now’s your chance! The kit club members always get a little something extra in their kits. Well in the next few months, they are going to be the first people to be able to test out and play with some of our new products coming out!! It’s going to be really fun for them 🙂
That’s all for today! See you back here soon! Hope you have a great day!
