Flower Circle Pattern

Hello everyone, it’s Michelle here today. Today I wanted to share a card that I made with the new Build a Banner 2 set…it isn’t just for banners anymore. 😉  I love the circles that come in the set and really wanted to use them to create my own background. There are lots of circle flower patterns on the market but you have to stamp them all one color. I love the option of creating my own background with this stamp set…especially in whimsical colors.

There was really no trick to lining up the circles. I did it all by eye through a clear acrylic block. If you practice on a scrap piece of paper you should be able to figure out exactly where to put them in no time at all. The trick is to make sure the flower portion lines up. If you close I missed a couple on the bottom but if I didn’t point it out you probably wouldn’t have noticed. 😉

I suggest that you start at the bottom and work your way up. 🙂 It makes it much easier.

For the polka dots on the teal strip of paper I used the Certified Awesome stamp set. Now when you look at the set you will be confused, it’s a label, it’s curved and it has an empty banner slot running through it.  What I did is stamp it a bunch of times on the teal paper, then I stamped it again on masking paper, cut the masks out, placed them on the label and then stamped it again to fill in the dots. I then cut it into a small strip. Easy peasy. I love the size of these dots.

I added a flower that I cut from my Silhouette, hand cut some leaves added some bling and then attached it all to the page. The pin and the “documented” label came from the new Basic Grey line Fact/Fiction.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope your day is nothing short of phenomenal.
