HB2U Birthday Card

Hi everyone!

For my project today, I combined two stamp sets and also did some doodling! This card is very different from my usual cards because I never doodle on my cards. I’ve also got some sneaky peeks of new colors on here, can you spot the new colors?

That’s right, all the colors besides the black are NEW SP COLORS! These are making their official debut on April 10th with our launch of the new SP in Color! line of products! I am so thrilled about our new products and I have a feeling that you are going to love them!!

So to make this card, I took a leftover piece of orange cardstock to make the card base and then I measured a piece of white cardstock to fit the front.

I rounded all the bottom colors and then started stamping.

I wanted to make a bright birthday card so I went ahead and used lots of color.

The banner and Happy Birthday sentiment are from the Happy Banners stamp set.

I made the HB2U with letters/number from our new Trendy Type Alphabet stamp set. I actually stamped the bottom two first so that I made sure I had room for all 4 stamps.

Then I doodled on some confetti and streamers. I actually did some watercoloring with the ink pads and an aqua pen. I don’t use an aqua pen very often, but basically it is a brush tip pen that you fill with water and then you can watercolor with it.

To get the ink, I just dabbed my ink pads onto a clear block. Then I just picked up some of the ink with the brush tip and painted! Super easy and I like the look of the paint matching the ink exactly rather than trying to match up markers.

And voila! It took maybe 10 minutes to make this card. I like that all of the stamping and coloring are one one single layer which made the card very easy to make.

So, on April 10th, I will officially introduce you to these colors. Only 2 more days!! EEK! I am really so flipping excited to share all the details and info. I am going to have an extra sneak peek again for you tomorrow so see you soon!
