Today I am back again guest designing for Some Odd Girl. I have a card that I made using another fabulous, new stamp set from Some Odd Girl. I absolutely LOVE that this set coordinates with the Kaylee’s Closet stamp set, but I must warn you, you are going to want to FUSSY CUT up a storm if you get your hands on these sets! I ended up stamping/cutting/piecing many layers together. It was a fun puzzle, and I think the results are stunning. I just love all the layering.
This is Red Riding Hood:
Additional Card Details:
I used the body and the socks images from the Kaylee’s Closet stamp set. The hood and clothing came from the new Red Riding Hood set.
To get the cape to go around her arms like they are supposed to, I had to cut out the under side of the cape and stick it actually behind her arms. Then the rest of that layer went over the Kaylee girl.
I had to cut out the center of the hood and position it behind her head to get it to look correct as well.
I did some paper piecing with patterned paper on this image. The patterned papers I used for her clothing are from the Bundle of Joy Boy Dots & Stripes paper pad by Echo Park. The aqua striped paper on the card is also from that paper pad.
The pink dot paper I used for the scallop edge is from the Bundle of Joy Girl Dots & Stripes paper pad by Echo Park.
The HELLO sentiment is also from the Red Riding Hood stamp set. I stamped it in Ocean Waves chalk ink and then used an aqua brush to create the swirlies beside the sentiment.
I used the following Copic colors:
- For the skin: E000, E00, E21, E02
- For the hair: YG24, E35, Y15
- For the aquas: BG11, BG13
Well, that’s all I have for you today. Be sure to stop by the SOG blog again today for even more projects using this cute stamp set! See you back here tomorrow for a look at another new stamp set!
