Some Odd Girl Snow White

Hi everyone!!  I hope that you’ve enjoyed having the SP designers show off some of their projects using our new product lines. Isn’t this team fabulous!?  I hope they kept you inspired so you didn’t even notice I was gone 🙂  But today I am back because I was asked to be guest designer for Some Odd Girl Stamps.  I used some SOG stamps during my time at MarkerPop so when the amazing Kristy asked me, of course I said YES. Kristy is one of my favorite crafty people & I wish I had just a pinch of her drawing ability. I really like her as a person so I am really excited to be able to share some of her pretty stamps with you. I love supporting companies and people who I know are totally awesome!!

Anyway so enough gabbing, let’s move on to my project for today! Today the Some Odd Girl team is showing off the brand new Snow White mini stamp set. I used the main image and sentiment stamp for my card today.

Additional Card Details:
I decided to color a scene with my Copics. When I was done coloring, I die cut some white clouds using the SP Sunshine Emma Die Tools set.

The sentiment allllmost fit inside the larger cloud so to make it work, I stamped the sentiment on the scene layer AND separately on the cloud layer (over some scrap paper). Then I just lined up the two sentiments so that the F that was hanging off lined up. I like this method (rather than attaching the cloud and stamping once, hoping that the bottom of the F shows up) because when stamping on multiple layers at once, sometimes there is a gap. And sometimes I press unevenly and just mess up the whole thing!

The sentiment was stamped in Ocean Waves chalk ink.

I had sized the scene layer and white mat layer before I decided on the big bow. So to make enough room for the bow, I cut out half of a circle from those two layers using a 1/2inch circle punch.

For the big bow I used red chevron ribbon, a Sandcastle SP Button, and some Cappuccino Twine from The Twinery.

And that was it!

I used the following Copic colors:

  • For the skin: E00, E02, E21
  • For the reds: R22, R24, R29, R39
  • For the animals: E31, E33, E35, E37, E27, E49
  • For the sky: BG000
  • For the aquas: BG10, BG11, BG13
  • For the blue bird: B21, B23
  • For the hair: T0, T2, T4, T6, T8, T10
  • For the grass: YG17, YG23, YG25, YG45, G28

I will share my grass coloring tutorial with you guys on Thursday.
