Happy Scrapbook Saturday to ya!
Today our new home is being inspected and I am also traveling back to TN so I thought I would get a layout scheduled for you guys.
This layout is of my best friend’s little girl, who is also featured on the Grandma in Training layout I made a little while ago.
The entire layout was inspired via Pinterest actually!! I was actually working on something kind of different. I was trying to come up with tutorials to add to my list for future blog posts and so I was just kind of sitting here brainstorming and kind of browsing Pinterest as I was thinking.
Well, I came across this layout and I stopped everything to go scrapbook and subsequently “scraplift” the layout that had inspired me.
This is what I just LOVE about our craft, there is inspiration everywhere! I was mindlessly just browsing Pinterest and BAM, inspiration stuck and I scrapbooked. The result was this. Two layouts, TOTALLY different subjects, totally different papers/colors/styles etc, but one sparks the other and you can see the similarities in the overall sketch of the layouts.
I absolutely love the original layout, & I hope you can click on it above to go see her blog (she moved it but you can click through to her new blog. It is amazing stuff she does!!
Anyway, so enough crafty passion for ya, let’s talk crafty details!
I used the June SP Monthly Kit for all the patterned papers and sticker elements included on this layout (including the title alphas).
I added in some Cappuccino twine from The Twinery and then I decorated the twine with some Flamingo Pink buttons, Aqua SeaGlass buttons, Sandcastle Buttons, and a SP Flair from the pack: Aqua SeaGlass & Flamingo Pink Hearty Hearts Flair that came out yesterday 🙂
There’s also a tiny little clothespin I picked up recently at a big craft store. I plan on using these on a different project, but I had to sneak one of them on here too lol.
So that’s it! I think I will still have a Sunday Scoop for you tomorrow, but it will again be just written, no video!!
