Grandma in Training Layout

Hi everyone!

I hope that you enjoyed the blog hop this week! There is still time to participate and enter to win some prizes. Be sure to hop with us, click here!

Today I actually have a layout to share and this is one of my fave layouts I may have ever made. It might be because of the ADORABLE little baby in the photos. It is also because I just love the title. This is my mom holding my best friend’s baby. These were actually taken a few years ago and this little one is becoming a big girl now.

I made this layout awhile ago using our SP Monthly kit from May.Ā  The June kits have shipped but I may have one or two left of them. Otherwise, sign ups are going on for July šŸ™‚

Here’s the layout:

The title was made with a mixture of alphas. The larger alphas are glitter Thickers from American Crafts.

The smaller alphas were from the May SP kit.

I did some fussy cutting around the roses from a patterned paper. I also added in some glitter paper behind the photo. All of the patterned paper was from the May SP kit also.

To make the journaling card, I used some of the kit paper and then stamped the Who, Where, When, Details, and “My Happy Moment” in Flamingo Pink premium chalk ink. All of these cute stamps are from the Happy Moments: Journaling Card stamp set.

Then I added a heart flair from the Flamingo Pink Heart Patterns flair pack.

I did the journal writing using a black Copic Multiliner.

To make the accent strip at the top of the layout, I used the Big Build a Banner 3 dies (the ones with the faux stitch), some Flamingo Pink buttons, and a strip of patterned paper.

Well that’s all for now folks!

I hope your weekend goes well. Ours is going to be quiet and uneventful I hope. It has been a long week for us getting used to our new surroundings & hubby’s new job. We’re just going to try to soak it all in and take it easy.
