Jolly Good Fellow Card

Hi everyone!! Have you had a chance to get crafty lately? I have been behind since our trip so today I am bringing out a blast from the past project to share with you. I keep a few stashed away just in case 🙂

Let me tell you, I have had the BEST time with the ink pads. The coverage is just great. I have been using dye inks all this time and never really ventured into chalk inks very much until I tried some samples from my manufacturer. Boy, I was HOOKED.

Anyway, so I decided to use lots of ink today and decorate a chipboard letter to put on my card.

I used the Bundle of Joy Girl 6×6 paper pad for the patterned papers and I drew all the colors I used from the papers I picked out. The SP Chalk Inks matched really nicely with this collection!

To decorate the chipboard letter, I applied my Aqua SeaGlass Chalk Ink Pad directly to the letter. I had the letter sitting on some scrap paper and just rubbed the ink pad over the letter until it was coated. I waited a minute to let that dry. Then I stamped the Decorative Diamond background along the entire letter using some Ocean Waves Chalk ink.

To decorate the rest of the card, I just cut an aqua cardstock card base & rounded the bottom corners with my corner chomper. I also rounded the bottom corners of the pink chevron paper.

I created some scallop borders with brown cardstock and attached them to my flower paper layer before attaching that whole later to my card.

Then I added the chipboard P.

I finished off the card with a banner and sentiment from the Happy Banners stamp set. I stamped both using Flamingo Pink Chalk Ink. I cut the banner out using the Happy Banners Die Tool.

And voila! A pretty easy to make card fit for a birthday girl. The inks just match the papers so beautifully.

Well, that’s all I have to share today. I hope that you have a lovely day!!
