Hi everyone! Welcome to another 3D Thursday!
Before we get started, it is almost MY BIRTHDAY so to celebrate, I am having a big sale in the store!! Many items are 26% off 🙂 Check out all the details on the store’s home page!
Now, let’s move on to today’s project.
I actually saw a little box made by one of my facebook friends using a Stampin’ UP scallop square die. I am sure that other scallop square dies would work for this, but that is the die shape I am using. What was neat was that exactly 4 of the mini Hershey’s Reese’s cups fit inside this cute little box.
This is just a super simple box I created with that shape and using our May SP Monthly kit papers.
To make the box part:
This scallop square has 9 scallops along each side. Along one side, I scored between the every 3 scallops. Then I turned the sheet 90 degrees and along the other edge I scored after the second scallop and then again two scallops from the end.
Next I cut along the score lines on the 3 scallop side and formed my box on those sides so that the scallops lined up beautifully.
Next I created a handle out of the patterned paper included in our May SP Kit from the Echo Park Here & Now collection. The handle just slid into the sides of the box & I secured it with more adhesive.
I also wanted a cute little sentiment so I grabbed the “For My Stud Muffin” from the Simply Sweet Manly Additions set. I stamped it with Avocado Green Premium Chalk ink. Then I matted it onto some green cardstock.
Next I made a big bow using some Honeydew twine from The Twinery. I added an Aqua SeaGlass button to the center of the big bow and that was it!
It took only about 5 minutes to make this little box. I think if you changed out the sentiment, this would make a great little party favor!
SO that’s it for today. Catch ya back here tomorrow for a Frugal Friday! See ya!
